Yota Garyubai

Grand ume-plum trees at the foot of Akagoyama Mountain (230 m) in the Yota district in western Yanai City. They are designated as a national natural monument. The branches look like the sprawling limbs of dragons, which is why the trees are called Garyubai (“ga” means sprawl, “ryu” means dragon, and “bai” means plum).
