Yanai and the surrounding area have many slanted plains with good sunlight, and mikan fields are plentiful. In addition to the famous mikan production area of Suo-Oshima, the Obatake, Heigunto, Ihonosho, and Atsuki areas inside Yanai City also produce delicious mikans.
